STEPHENVILLE (November 23, 2015) – Tarleton Volleyball is headed back to the NCAA playoffs for the second consecutive season after the TexAnns were named the No. 2 seed in the South Central Region during the NCAA Selection Show Monday night.
Tarleton, who claimed its first Lone Star Conference championship in school history with a 15-1 league record this season, will head to San Angelo for the postseason tournament with an overall record of 27-6. The TexAnns will square off in the first round against Colorado Mesa on Thursday, December 3 at the Junell Center in San Angelo. Dates and times are still to be decided by the host institution.

The Mavericks will enter the tournament as the No. 7 seed from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with a record of 19-11.
Angelo State will host the tournament as the No. 1 seed and will play host to No. 8-seed Regis while fellow LSC rival Texas Woman’s will make the trip as the No. 5 seed and square off against Colorado Mines in the quarterfinals. The remaining quarterfinal game, which will meet the winner of Tarleton-Mesa in the semifinals, will be a match-up of the two teams Tarleton played in last year’s regional – Arkansas-Fort Smith and Metro State
The tournament will be a single elimination, bracket-style tournament in which the winner earns the right to be called the South Central Region Champions and advance to the Elite Eight at the University of Tampa on Dec. 10-12 for a chance at the national championship.
