James McMurray

James Alford McMurray, born January 31, 1935 in Fort Worth, Texas to parents Parum and Robbie (Bruce) McMurray, passed away December 25, 2015. James was known as “Jim” or “Poppa” loved coin collecting, genealogy and antique clocks. Jim was dedicated to his family, friends and country spending nearly 24 years serving on the US Army. During his military service Jim distinguished himself by receiving two Bronze Stars and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Ruth, Mary and Tommy. Surviving Jim are wife Katherine Sue (Shelton) McMurray, son James Alford McMurray, Jr., grandsons, Christopher and Travis, granddaughter Katherine. Jim is also survived by one sister Helen and one brother George, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
