Iris Nell Strebeck (Mimi) went to be with her lord and savior Friday, February 5, 2016.

She was the wife of A. D. Strebeck, they shared 65 years of marriage until his death on March 24, 1998.

Born in McCullough County she was the daughter of John and Rosie Ake. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a devoted Christian and member of the First Baptist Church, Stephenville. She enjoyed most, her family and friends along with traveling, bowling, and dancing.

She is survived by her sister, Johnnie Mayberry of Stephenville, 6 grandchildren, Dereece and Kenneth Howell of Stephenville, Harold and Jayme Stephens of Granbury, Denean and Benny Rice of Brooksmith, Dana Rice of Graham, Brett and Margie Strebeck of Canyon, Shannon and Glenn Palmer of Florida, Kerin and Steve Wright of Amarillo; daughter-in-laws, Paulette Harris and Linda Pirtle.

Great Grandchildren – Kent Howell, Keith and Brittany Howell, Vince and Beth Lewallen, Natasha Stephens, Randi and Ray Slayton, Rusty and Amber Rice, Kristina and Harry Lansing, Valerie, Will, and Allison Strebeck, Sean and Savannah Palmer, Molly, Corey Palmer. Taylor, Madison, and Lacey Wright.

Great Great Grandchildren – Haleigh, Logan, Hudson, Gracie, Hannah, Kenli, Triston, Landon, Emma, Kelby, Kelton, Wittier, Kimbrie.

And lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and husband; her son, Robert Strebeck; daughter, Mary Nell Strebeck; sister and brother-in-law, Avis and Garrison Heavenhill; sister and brother – in – law, Edna and Lloyd Tims; brother In-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Chris Strebeck; brother-in-law and sister – in –law, Ben and Billie Strebeck; grandson, Kevin Crone; and great-granddaughter, Chelsea Crone.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Morgan Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the charity of choice.

  1. Yes she was a special Aunt to me. She stayed young until the day the Lord called her home. She’ll be sorely missed but it won’t be long until I get to see her again!
