STEPHENVILLE (February 16, 2016) — It’s hard not to see economic development in progress in Stephenville these days.
Three projects that haven’t received much press but are moving right along are an urgent care center, a new nail salon and a new warehouse and office building for Barefoot Athletics.
The urgent care center is an extension of Lake Granbury Medical Center in Granbury. A representative confirmed on Tuesday they are constructing in Stephenville. Construction is moving along just behind Aaron’s off the Northwest Loop.
The new nail salon – Lux Nail Spa – is under construction on Barker Avenue, immediately behind CVS Pharmacy.
The expansion of Barefoot Athletics, a Stephenville based apparel and screen printing company with eight retail locations and a massive wholesale business, is taking place just across Rita Street from its current location.
“This will be good for all our people. It gives us a little more room to do what we do and to grow in other areas, as well,” said Matt Copeland of Barefoot Athletics. “We’re always looking to grow and expand. We have a new store opening in South Carolina in August and we’re hoping to open one more before the end of the year.”
Barefoot Athletics also services almost 2,000 FFA programs and more than 200 athletic programs at school districts in Texas and around the country.
