STEPHENVILLE (March 24, 2016) – Beatriz Prados was named the Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week after the senior won the individual title at the Otter Invitational in Seaside, California.
In addition to Prados’ win, the TexAnns won the tournament by 13 strokes by shooting a 609 (+33) in the two-round contest. It’s the third tournament win of the season for Tarleton.
Prados led the way for the TexAnns by shooting a 150 (+6) to win the individual title. Prados improved her first-round score by six strokes and shot an even-par 72 in the final round. Prados sank five birdies and 21 pars in the tournament.
This is Prados’ fourth career LSC weekly award and her first of the season.
Tarleton will travel to Goodyear, Arizona to compete at the Mustang Intercollegiate, a tournament that Prados won last season, on April 1.
