W.K. Gordon Center offers free admission to military personnel, families

STEPHENVILLE (May 18, 2016) — Military personnel and their families can enjoy free admission to Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas beginning Saturday, May 28, through Labor Day.

The W.K. Gordon Center is one of 2,000 Blue Star Museums across America that will offer free admission to all active military personnel, including National Guard and Reserve, and their families through Monday, Sept. 5. The effort is a collaboration of Blue Star Museums, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Department of Defense to thank service members and their families for their sacrifices.

Gordon Center, a Tarleton museum and research facility located in the historic ghost town of Thurber, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
