(September 19, 2016) — One local athlete will be riding a heap of momentum into the Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo.
Chase Williams, 25, of Stephenville, roped and tied the biggest win of his career over the weekend, winning the tie-down roping at Pendleton Round-Up in Pendleton, Oregon. His reward for stopping the clock at 28.3 seconds on three head was $12,150, his personal best at any single event.

Williams finds himself $7,000 outside the top 15, and is entered in Stephenville, Amarillo, Pasadena, Albuquerque (NM) and Apache (Okla.) as he tries to make a late run at his first National Finals Rodeo.
Following his win at Pendleton, ProRodeo.com interviewed Williams and has a full report here.
