FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:30 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2016, at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Hazeldell Cemetery in Comanche County.

VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 15.

LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at First United Methodist Church in Gustine prior to the funeral services.

Golda Marie Haggard passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016.

She was born on September 24, 1925, in Runnels County, Texas, to Romer Hickman Gallant and Bula Amanda (Howard). She met Leo Conaway Haggard in February of 1942 and married him on August 3rd of the same year. After Leo returned from his service in World War II, they made their home in Comanche County, where they resided until their deaths. From 1958-1979, Golda was a bookkeeper for Durhams Peanuts, Higginbotham Brothers Co., and the Gunter Brothers Co. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gustine where she also served as a choir director for 42 years. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Ann Bell and husband David of Norman, OK; Lenora Marie Davis and husband Danny of Gustine; one daughter-in-law, Peggy Ann Haggard of Gustine; 9 grandchildren; 25 great-grand children; 8 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Conaway Haggard; a son, Bob Haggard; parents, Romer Hickman Gallant and Bula Amanda Howard Gallant; five sisters and two brothers.
