VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 25.
Maxine Spivey, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, in Brownwood, Texas.
She was born on June 13, 1944, in Brownwood, to Clarence and Stella (Robertson) Holland. On February 6, 1963, she was united in marriage to Cecil Odell Spivey in Brownwood. Maxine was a devoted wife and loving mother of eleven children, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil Odell Spivey of Comanche; sons, Cecil Dell Spivey of Comanche, Cecil Wesley Spivey of Comanche, Gary Spivey and wife Serena of Mullin, Justin Spivey of Alabama, Michael Spivey of Alabama, John Spivey of Alabama, and Charles Spivey of Comanche; daughters, Lucretia Bowen and husband Troy of Comanche, Tammie Laurents and husband Christopher of Comanche, Jennifer Rodriguez and husband Freddy of Comanche, and Alicia Seay and husband Timothy of Alabama; thirty-seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Dell Holland of Brownwood and Elmer Holland and wife Janis of Texas; and sisters, Wanda “Lulu” Holland of Eastland and Brenda Kay Holland of Brownwood.
