STEPHENVILLE (November 23, 2016) – Head coach Misty Wilson made the first addition to her 2017-18 recruiting TexAnn Basketball recruiting class by signing Haley Fieseler.

“Signing Haley is a great way to start our recruiting for the 2017-18 season,” said Wilson. “Haley is a post player that has great size and footwork to go along with great hands and ball-handling skills for a player of her size. She is a smart player and does a great job of making her teammates better.

“She is also a great student,” she continued. “I know without a doubt that she will do a great job of representing Tarleton on and off the floor for the next four years.”

Fieseler is set to begin her senior year at Burnet High School after starring for three seasons at Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill, where she was the 16-3A Most Valuable Player and a TGCA All-State selection last year.

She averaged 15 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks per game as a junior for Chapel Hill last season.

As a sophomore, she was the district offensive player of the year and MVP after averaging 11.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game. As a freshman, she was a second-team all-district selection after scoring 7.4 points and grabbing 6.3 rebounds per game.
