(December 14, 2016) — Emmy Rodriguez drained six 3-pointers for the second time in four games Tuesday evening and Huckabay showed Gorman why the Lady Indians are ranked fourth in Class A by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.

Huckabay (12-2) rolled to a 64-28 victory in the 18-A district opener for both teams. Rodriguez poured in 22 points and Kailin Dowell joined her in double figures with 12. Presli Bray netted seven, Tiffany Lopez six, Trinity Meador six, Ciara Phillips five, Savanna Graves three and Brenna Yarbrough three.

The Lady Indians return home to take on Strawn at about 6:30 p.m. Friday following a junior varsity contest at five.
