(February 3, 2017) — Nobody in the Cross Timbers Region shoots or makes more 3-pointers than Dublin, and nobody in 6-3A so far has been able to keep up with the “Flyin’ Lions.”

Dublin hit another 16 3-pointers at Neff Gym Friday, coasting to a 85-68 win over an Early club it had previously defeated 108-38 on the road. The Lions maintain their one game lead over Coleman atop the district standings and visit Brady at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Brady Moore continued his domination in district play – and all season – with 32 points. The senior hit six 3-pointers while Rayce Jackson and Josh Hanes each connected on three. Jackson scored 21 and Hanes 10, Tim Teten and Jeremiah Martinez hit two each and both scored six, Brayden Burleson added four points, Elton Galbreath three and Gabe Garcia three.

Dublin was on pace to score 100 again at halftime, when the Lions led 53 points. They took their foot off the gas, scoring just 16 each in the third and fourth quarters after pouring in 28 in the second.

The Lions are trying to win their first district title since 2012.
