STEPHENVILLE (February 28, 2017) — Tarleton men’s basketball is ranked No. 25 in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches poll.
The Texans (22-6, 13-5) are coming off a road loss to UT Permian Basin and West Texas A&M last week. This marks the 128th week the Texans have been ranked by the NABC in program history.
The Texans are one of two LSC teams ranked in the NABC poll. UT Permian Basin is ranked No. 23 while West Texas A&M received seven votes. Tarleton defeated then-No. 12 Western Washington in Las Vegas, who is now ranked No. 15. The Texans are 3-0 against ranked opponents this season. The Texans are also currently ranked No. 1 in the first South Central Regional poll.
Tarleton earned the No. 2 seed in the LSC Tournament and will take on No. 7-seed Angelo State at the Allen Event Center on Thursday, March 2 at 2:30 p.m.
