Volleyball camp draws 103 future, current Honeybees

The first through fifth grade afternoon session attracted 44 participants.

STEPHENVILLE (June 2, 2017) — More than 100 local youth entering grades 1-9 participated Honeybee Volleyball Camp this week at Henderson Junior High. Campers attended one of two daily sessions based on grade level, with 59 sixth through ninth graders meeting in the mornings and 44 first through fifth reporting in the afternoons. The camp was under the direction of Stephenville volleyball head coach Fran Metzger, who has led Honeybee squads to a state title in 2003 and numerous regional tournaments, area titles and district championships. She was assisted by her SHS coaching staff – Patti Williams and Katie Fulton – as well as the girls coaches from HJH – D’anna Green and Pam Jones.

There were 59 (58 shown) sixth through ninth grade campers in the morning sessions.
