WHAT HAPPENED: Dublin used Clifton as a mom, er, broom in a straight-set sweep Tuesday afternoon in a match that barely even made it into the evening. Playing at 5:30 p.m. because Clifton has only one sub varsity club, Dublin rolled to a 25-15, 25-16, 25-17 victory, the Lady Lions’ third straight to begin the season.

COACH SPEAK: “Our defense stood out tonight. The girls were doing a great job on movement and communication. Our service receive was also great with us only having two service receive errors on the night. The girls are doing a great job transferring the stuff we are doing in practice into games. It exciting to see how quickly they are picking up everything we work on. Right now we are in a great spot heading into our first tournament of the season.” – Sixth year Dublin head coach Ryan Lewis

STATS OF THE NIGHT: Dublin aced 11 serves, five of them by Kyleigh Bamber and three from Jordyn Ricks. Bamber served 17 times with just two errors, posting a serve percentage .882. As a team, the Lady Lions were even better at .928.

OTHER STANDOUTS: Angelica Linan recorded eight kills and four digs while Joley Chisholm put down five kills and served 15 times without a service error.
