(August 28, 2017) — Dublin dropped its final two contests to fall into fourth place in its home Dublin Athletic Booster Club Invitational Saturday.
The Lady Lions had not previously lost at home, this season, including a tough win over 4A Mineral Wells Saturday morning and three pool victories Thursday.

-The 14-point turnaround in margin from the first to second set is the biggest upswing the Lady Lions have enjoyed this season
-Dublin willed its way to victory despite being outscored 73-64 overall
-The come back was led by the Lady Lion’s strong service game that featured eight aces, including three each by Kylie Curtoys ands Joley Chisholm
-Chisholm, Kyleigh Bamber, and Angelica Lnian each had three kills to lead the offense, but Dublin finished with negative hitting percentage overall.
-Jordyn Ricks made play all over the court defensively with three blocks and 12 digs, while Hailey Ortega led the Lady Lions with 16 digs and Bamber added 10.

Dublin captured the championship in the 15-team junior varsity division, beating De Leon Milsap, Abilene Christian and Tolar
