THE GAME
Tarleton men’s basketball will take on Central Okahoma in a non-conference matchup on Saturday, November 18 at 6 p.m. in Wisdom Gym.
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Byron Anderson, will be calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. ABOUT THE BRONCHOS:
Central Oklahoma is 2-1 on the season with wins over Southeastern Oklahoma and Oklahoma Christian. The Bronchos are averaging 74 points per game and holding teams to 67 points. UCO has five players averaging double figures in scoring and is led by Corbin Byford’s 13.7 points. Byford is also averaging a team-best 9.7 rebounds.
THE SERIES: CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
Tarleton and Central Oklahoma are meeting for the 31st time in program history and for the first time since 2011. The former conference foes first met in 1995. UCO holds the series lead at 20-10. Tarleton is 6-7 at home against the Bronchos and won the last meeting in Stephenville, 87-65 back in 2011.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
Tarleton received 10 votes in the first National Association of Basketball Coaches poll of the season. The Texans have been nationally ranked in each of the last four seasons.
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton defeated Sul Ross 80-76 to improve to 2-1 on the season. Jaraan Lands posted a career-high 20 points and also added nine rebounds in the win.
