Tarleton will take its 2-0 start on the road for the first time this season as the TexAnns will head to Denton to compete in the Best Western Inn Tournament at Kitty Magee Arena, the home of the Texas Woman’s Pioneers. Tarleton will open the tournament Saturday afternoon against former LSC rival, Central Oklahoma, before playing regional opponent, Regis (CO), Sunday. Both games will tip off at 2 p.m.

TICKET INFORMATION
Tickets will be available for purchase at the Kitty Magee Arena doors an hour and a half prior to the start of the first game on each day. There will be no online or advance ticket sales. Tickets are $6 for a single day pass or $10 for a full-tournament pass.
A LOOK BACK AT LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton started the season 2-0 for the second time in the last three years after defeating Western State (CO) and St. Mary’s at the F&M Bank TexAnn Tip-Off Classic in Stephenville last weekend. The TexAnns averaged 65.0 points per game over the first two games and were led in scoring by Mackenzie Hailey (11.5) and McKinley Bostad (11.0).
INSIDE THE SERIES: CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
Tarleton and Central Oklahoma have met 25 times in their history and were bitter rivals back in the Bronchos’ Lone Star Conference days, meeting in the LSC Championship Tournament three times between 2008 and 2011. In their last LSC Tournament meeting, Tarleton fell to the Bronchos in a 70-74 double-overtime heartbreaker in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Central Oklahoma holds a 13-12 lead in the all-time series, but the TexAnns won the most recent outing when they took the court in Denton in a 2013 tournament.INSIDE THE SERIES: REGIS
Sunday will mark the third all-time meeting between Tarleton and Regis with each team looking to tip the scale of the 1-1 all-time series. Tarleton traveled to Denver in 1996 for the first-ever meeting and suffered a loss, but won the last meeting in 2013 when the teams met on the floor in Denton in an exact replica of this weekend’s tournament schedule.UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
