Jean Howerton Hamann, born September 3, 1938 in Iredell, Texas to parents Johnnie and Mary (Pruitt) Howerton, passed away in Brownwood, Texas on November 8, 2018 at age 80. Jean was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Brownwood, Texas, loved the fellowship of family and friends.

Preceding Jean in death were her parents, husband Allan Hamann, brother, Kenneth Howerton, sisters, Joyce Willis, Dianne Greathouse, and niece Charlene Ray.

Surviving Jean are children, Carol Schaeper of Belton, Texas, Karon Dewey of Faber, Virginia, Donna Kevil of Cisco, Texas, Gaylene Rushfeldt of Cisco, Texas, and Lisa Ritter of Early, Texas.

Also surviving Jean are seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, seven nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

Service information

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, at Harvest Hills Funeral Chapel in Hico with burial to follow in the Hico Cemetery.
