Stephenville’s Honeybees started stinging early and often as they jumped out to an early lead and coasted their way to a 43-29 win against Venus.
“Venus has shooters,” Coach Alan Thorpe said. “I’m glad to get out of here with a win tonight. Come out of a tournament I didn’t know how we would play, but we did well tonight.”
The Honeybees (13-3) moved out front 11-2 during the first quarter, and Thorpe was able to substitute his players and work his bench.
