Stephenville (15-4) is ranked number six in the latest Texas High School Coaches Association basketball poll and is using the tournament as a tune-up for district play. Nazareth which is ranked #1 in Class 1-A is using the tournament to slay giants and scare this year’s district opponents

A game after not scoring a shot from long range the Bees were suddenly racking up the points from outside.
The Bees going to the outside was also an indication of how well Nazareth defends inside the paint as Stephenville only got three total points from the post position.
Guards Madison Gilder and Kassidy Nowak led the Bees scoring with 10 and 15 points respectively. Nowak was 6-of-7 at the line while Gilder and Hannah Bernays had two three-pointers each.
The Bees will now tipoff in the consolation bracket against at 3 p.m. against either Jim Ned or Levelland.
SCORING—Madison Gilder 10, Kassidy Nowak 15, Hannah Bernays 6, Jayci Morton 8, Mikayla Diaz 2, Alee McClendon 1, Autumn Nichols 3, Jettie Funderburgh 3.
