
The #10 Huckabay Lady Indians (30-4, 11-1) threepeated Tuesday night with a 53-40 win over #7 Lipan that gave them a share of the District 19-1A title.

It’s the third year in a row Huckabay has been district or co-district champions under coach Caleb Walls and the Lady Indians will be going into the playoffs as the number-one seed.

Being number one gives the Lady Indians a first-round bye and Huckabay will play the winner of the Lometa and Richland Springs game. Huckabay’s first playoff game is expected to take place next Thursday or Friday.
Against Lipan, the lady Indians had three players in double figures with Kailin Dowell’s 15 points leading the way while Destiny Cook scored 14 and Tiffany Meador netted 13.
