Texan Baseball heads to San Antonio for rematch with Rattlers

THE GAMES
Tarleton Baseball is headed to San Antonio for a three-game series at Dickson Stadium in a rematch with St. Mary’s. The Texans and Rattlers will pick up where they left off last weekend at Minute Maid Park with a nine-inning game at 3 p.m. Friday and a 7/9 doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.

WEATHER FORECAST
The temperature in San Antonio is expected to be in the low 40s with a 20-percent chance of rain Friday that increases to 50-percent on Saturday. If the affects game play, updates will be posted as they become available on the @TarletonSports twitter account and Facebook pages.

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton battled against St. Mary’s and brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth but couldn’t complete the comeback in an 8-5 loss to the Rattlers in the final game of the Winter Invitational at Minute Maid Park Sunday night. The Texans went 1-2 in last weekend’s season-opening tournament.

INSIDE THE SERIES: ST. MARY’S
Tarleton and St. Mary’s have a rich tradition that dates back to 1992 and encompasses 62 games. The Texans trail the all-time series 43-23 and 26-12 in San Antonio.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will hit the road for one more away series with a four-game road trip to Fort Smith, Arkansas for a showdown with the Lions. The series is scheduled for a 1-2-1 format, beginning at 7 p.m. Friday night.
