Two more runs came across in the fifth on a RBI double by Amanda Conner and a bunt single and an error that allowed Conner to come across for a 6-0 lead. Georgia Capell went yard to lead off the sixth and Herron later scored on a throwing error for Tarleton’s fourth two-run inning of the game.

The lightning came in the middle of the sixth and the game was halted until tomorrow. The teams will finish game one and then begin the regularly-scheduled doubleheader at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Odessa.
