Stephenville Coach Casey Weil is the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches Coaches of the year and Honeybees Gracie Bales, Beatris Chavarria, Ciara Johnston and Madison Wyly were named to the Class 4A All-State soccer team today.
Stephenville completed a historic season with a 2-0 win over Liberty Hill to capture their second state title in three years and finishing 24-1-2.
Weil and all four players had already picked up all-district honors and soccer fans knew it was only a matter of time before TASCO’s list would also contain many names associated with Stephenville.
Wyly was tabbed for first team at goalkeeper while Chavarria is a first-team midfielder and Johnston is a first-teamer at forward. Johnston was also the Tournament MVP. Bales was picked as a second-team forward.
