Retha Elizabeth Fine Carter of Cleveland, MS (formerly of Dublin, TX) passed away Monday, March 09, 2020 at her home surrounded by family after a long illness. A Graveside honoring Mrs. Retha will be held Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Dublin Live Oak Cemetery in Dublin, TX.
She was born October 09, 1936 to James & Retha Fine in Dublin, TX. Retha was a stay at home mom and wife when her children were growing up, and later returned to school and became a real estate agent.
Retha is preceded in passing by her late beloved husband of 51 years, R.A. Carter; her parents, James & Retha Fine, her sisters, Catherine Fine, and Josephine Allen; and her brothers, James Hendrix, Earl and Morgan Fine.
Retha is survived by her loving daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Fisher(Glenn) of Cleveland, MS, Melanie Kittel (Ken) of Slidell, LA and Tori Crum (Del) of Madison, MS; her sisters, Billie Mays of Dublin, TX and Patsy Harrell (Jim) of Dublin, TX; and her brother, Alan Fine (Kathy) of Arlington, TX. She leaves behind seven grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren, and a plethora of loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Charlotte Winters, and Tamekia Kirkham for their friendship, kindness, and care given to Retha during her illness. We would also like to thank Sunflower Hospice, especially Margie Sappington, for the care and support she has given Mom, Becky, and Glenn.
