Helen Rosa Lee Thompson was born February 14, 1928, to Morris and Ella Rhyner in Visalia, California. She died at Good Tree Assisted Living in Stephenville, Texas on April 15, 2020 of natural causes.

 Rosa attended school in Red Oak, Texas. She married H.C. “Dick” Thompson in 1946 and soon moved to Casper, Wyoming where Dick was employed by Standard Oil Company. Rosa was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress and cook. They later retired in Waxahachie, Texas until 2018.

 Rosa is survived by a daughter, Judy Myers, and husband, Ron Myers of Glendale, Arizona; son, John P. Thompson of Stephenville, Texas; daughter, Jeanne Busby, and husband, Morris Busby of Hico, Texas. Rosa had 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her 2 sisters, Connie Ozymy of Waxahachie, Texas, and Lafawn Morris of Spring, Texas.

 Rosa is preceded in death by her husband, H.C. “Dick” Thompson; grandson, Joseph Paul Dennis; and brother, Carl Rhyner. She will be buried beside her husband at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.

 No services will be held at this time due to the Covid-19 pandemic regulations.
