Larry “Shorty” Hatley, age 62, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020, in Comanche, Texas.

He was born on March 16, 1958, in Dell, Arkansas, to Elzie and Methel (Isbell) Hatley. He was a United States Navy Veteran. On July 26, 2020, he was united in marriage to Rhonda Adcock in Comanche. Shorty was devoted to his family. He was an outdoorsman and loved fishing at the lake, and hunting. He loved all animals, especially his dog, Charlie, who he and Rhonda enjoyed taking to the lake. Shorty was a safety coordinator employed by Comanche County Electric Co-op for thirty plus years.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Hatley of Comanche; brothers, Tommy “Butch” Hatley of Hamilton, William “Sonny” Hatley of Blytheville, Arkansas, Jody McMinn of Franklin Louisiana, Gerald Hatley of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Steven Duebuoy of Comanche; sisters, Wanda Gilbert of Comanche, Nellie Spell of Buna, Faye Frair of Patterson, Louisiana, Peggy Moore of Colbert, Georgia, and Lesa Hatley; children, Colt Harris and wife Brandy and Laci Patton and Husband Ethan; several grandchildren; parents-in-law, Harold and Laura Adcock of Comanche; sister-in-law, Michelle Stalnacker of Comanche; brothers-in-law, Kelly Adcock of Gustine and Rocky Adcock of Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elzie and Methel Hatley; and seven siblings.
