Bobby Jack Bell was born October 26, 1944 in Stephenville, Texas. He died at home in Stephenville, on December 7, 2020 at the age of 76.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2020, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Branham officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery.
Bobby lived in Stephenville all of his life and attended Stephenville schools. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying many happy hours at his deer lease and his farm, caring for his horse, or at home spending time with his dogs. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stephenville. He had a long career with the US Postal Service, retiring as Postmaster of DeLeon in 2004. He married Linda Easterly in 1972, and together they raised four children: Chris, Robin, Robert and Renee.
Bobby is survived by his wife Linda, brother Billy, son Robert Bell and wife Amy, son Chris Bell, daughter Robin and husband Drew Wells, daughter Renee and husband Fred Ortiz. He is also survived by many grandchildren: Taylor Bell, Timber Miller, Tyler Bell, Amelia Stansell, Skylar Bell, Ariel Bell, Chrislyn Wells, Chandler Wells, Chase Wells, Chip Wells, Alex Ortiz, Olivia Ball, and Sophie Ortiz and four precious great grandchildren: Case Miller, Amy Leyendekker, Beckett Stansell, and Stella Ball. Pallbearers: Tyler Bell, Ashton Ball, Skylar Bell, Chandler Wells, Chase Wells, and Chip Wells.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Etoyle Bell, sister Judy Patterson, and brother Johnny Bell.
