Jackets turnback Bullfrogs 54-41 as Stephenville improves to 9-1

Stephenville managed to shrug off a pesky Lake Worth team with consistent team play to post a 54-41 over the Bullfrogs to improve to 9-1 on the season at Gandy Gym Tuesday.
The Yellow Jackets opened with a 14-8 first quarter with Kyle Styron and Kallan Kimbrough netting all of Stephenville’s points as Styron pumped in eight and Kimbrough had six.
Brady Morton helped things roll along for the Jackets in the second quarter with seven of Stephenville’s 13 points as the Jackets led by seven at halftime, 27-20.
The Bullfrogs (5-4) kept Stephenville off balance in the third quarter and sliced a point off the Jackets’ lead as they won the eight minutes 12-11.
The Jackets regrouped in the fourth quarter with a Grayson Traweek nailed a pair of three-pointers, Styron adding four points, Morrison 2, and Aidan Espinoza with three.
Styron led the Jackets with 12 points while Kimbrough popped in 10 and Traweek scored nine.
Stephenville travels to Joshua Friday for a 7 p.m. game and will be back at Gandy Gym Tuesday to host
Bridgeport (8-2).
