Stephenville had three players in double-figure scoring, but a third-quarter offensive lull cost the Yellowjackets (9-2) in a 55-46 loss to Joshua (4-5) Friday.
The Jackets led 11-9 after the first quarter as Aidan Espinoza netted six points, Grayson Traweek dialed up a basket from long distance, and Kyle Styron got the first two of his 11 points on the night.
Espinoza was Stephenville’s leading scorer with 13 points, and Traweek made it a double-digit trio with an even dozen points.
Adding to the Jackets’ offense was Kelvin Ong and Trace Morrison with two points each. Stephenville hosts Bridgeport in a 1:15 p.m. game at Gandy Gym Saturday and travels to Wichita Falls to take on Ryder Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
