Robert Lee Brock, 80, of Stephenville, died Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Stephenville surrounded by his children.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 16th at West End Cemetery in Stephenville with Weldon Branham officiating.  Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home.

Robert was born on October 20, 1940, in Tucson, Arizona to the late William and Sarah Watson Brock.  He grew up in Seadrift, Texas and graduated from Calhoun High School in 1960.  Although he lived in many places as a young adult, he made his home in Stephenville, Texas in 1976.  He was a master electrician by trade.

Robert loved old cars and especially 57 Chevy’s.  He enjoyed attending car races and the Cars and Coffee at the Court House in Stephenville.  He loved music as well.  He was a card-carrying member of the NRA and enjoyed gun and knife collecting, hunting, and coin collecting.

Robert was a family man and was very proud of each of his children.  In his retirement years he very much enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports, visiting his son’s auto repair shop to see what older cars might be there and visiting with the guys, visiting his daughter’s office and befriending many there.  In fact, although he was a very quiet man, he made friends and was beloved everywhere he went.   He talked with each of his children daily and was proud of each of their accomplishments.   He was very giving of his time and resources.

Robert is survived by his children, Daniel and wife Kim Brock of Stephenville, Kelly Elskes of Houston, Holly and husband Troy Curtis, Jr. of Apex, North Carolina, Misti and husband Galen Todd of Gainesville, Texas, and Kristi Brock of Stephenville; grandchildren, Lacretia and husband Jason Kilgore, Will Brock, Danja Elskes, Katrina and husband Ben Waldon, Ethan, Andrew,  and Zoey;  Mackenzie and Jaxon; Levi and Alexis; great grandchildren, Natalie; Henry and Calvin; Trinity, Mackenzie and Autumn; special family friends, Curtis and Genia Green; sister-in-law, Cathy Brock; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by his brother Richard.

The Brock family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Erath County Humane Society.
