All-State scatback and safety Kyle Corb is taking his game to the next level and has announced his commitment to play for Austin College after leading the FAITH Knights to their eighth TAIAO
state title last season.
Corb had glittering numbers for the Knights in 2020 as he accounted for 3,341 total offensive yards. Corb’s 128.6 quarterback rating was achieved with 96-164 passing that accumulated 1,802 yards, 29 touchdowns, and just three interceptions.
The senior was equally impressive, with his feet gaining 1,484 yards rushing for 25 touchdowns. Corb also had two receiving scores.
While it is unknown how the Kangaroo coaching staff will use Corb’s talents, they will have to look at his skills on both sides of the football.
Corb’s all-state selection at safety came from stick-tight pass defending ability to make stops in the open field. Last season Corb had 94 tackles (38 solos), seven interceptions and 17 passes broken up
