DENVER, Colo. – The annual preseason poll has been released by the Western Athletic Conference and Tarleton was picked to finish fourth in the newly-formed Southwest Division.
“The preseason polls are about what I expected them to be,” said head coach Mark Cumpian. “Now it’s our responsibility to go out and make sure the final standings don’t look like that in May.”
Tarleton is coming off its first season as a member of the WAC. The Texans went 17-36 in their debut season, including 5-12 in WAC action. Tarleton returns four all-conference players from last season – Georgia Capell, Katy Schaefer, Jordan Dickerson and Bailee Riggs.
