Alma Villanueva, age 73, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2022 in Abilene, Texas.
Alma was born on March 1, 1948, in Hondo, Texas to Felix Gutierrez, Sr. and Amelia (Garcia). She was a homemaker. Alma was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her seven children, Janie Elizondo and husband, Fred, of Bay City Texas, Dominga Maldondo and husband, Ricardo, of Early, Texas, Abel Perez Jr. of Comanche, Texas, Ramona Lopez and husband, Daniel, of Comanche, Texas, Joanna Villanueva and Miguel Sanchez, of Comanche, Texas, Raquel Villanueva and Kenji Ouchi of Comanche, Texas, Jesse Hegedio of Comanche, Texas; 27 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Noah Gutierrez and wife, Lupe, of Sidney, Texas, Paul Gutierrez and wife, Tomasita, of Comanche, Texas, Raymond Gutierrez and wife, Esmeralda, of Gustine, Texas, Adam Gutierrez and wife, Jamie, of Comanche, Texas; four sisters, Lucy Medina and husband, Adolf, of Gustine, Texas, Eva Lopez and husband, Julian, of Comanche, Texas, Olga Suniga and husband, Florentino, of Gatesville, Texas, Betty Martinez and husband, Don, of Comanche, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alma is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Villanueva; parents, Felix Gutierrez, Sr. and Amelia (Garcia); two brothers, Felix Gutierrez, Jr. and Ricardo Gutierrez; and sister, Gloria.
Service Details
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, at the Comanche Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, in the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche.
