MONROE, La. – The Tarleton women’s soccer team saw their two-match winning streak come to a close Sunday afternoon on the road at the University of Louisiana Monroe, 3-1, at Brown Stadium.

ULM took the early lead with a pair of goals in the first half in the 20th and 30th minutes. The Warhawks added a goal in the 75th minute, but the Texans avoided the shutout when Nicole Fels broke loose on the counter, beating the defense down the field. Fels calmly slipped it by the keeper, notching her second goal of the season.

Tarleton will return to the pitch and play in the program’s first WAC match on Sunday, Sept. 18, back at the Tarleton Soccer Complex against Abilene Christian.
