The Three Way Braves (0-2) are hosting a big game this week. Not only are they coming off a bye week and hosting Homecoming, but they will be facing the Lingleville Cardinals (2-1), their rival from across the county.

Two weeks ago the Braves hosted the Stephenville FAITH Knights and were defeated, 83-39. After starting off strong in that match-up, Three Way was overcome in the second half by a flurry of Knights’ touchdowns.

However, the Braves have had two weeks to prepare for this upcoming battle and are looking forward to showing the home crowd how much they’ve improved.

Lingleville is coming off their own loss. Last week, the Cardinals visited the Union Hill Bulldogs (3-0) from Gilmer, 46-0, three quarters. The Bulldogs were able to score 3 times in the first quarter and 4 times in the second, needing only one TD in the third to seal the deal.

However, the Cardinals coaching staff is confident the team learned quite a bit in their first loss of the season and they’re sure planning on giving the Braves a battle when they come to the south side of Erath County.
