Loretta Elaine Hamm, born December 13, 1960 in Hico, Texas to parents Clarence and Loretta (McKandless) Bright, passed away in Rockwall, Texas on November 13, 2022. Elaine was also known as Nana, Mama, Mom or Shorty to her family and friends. She loved her family dearly, and was known for helping anyone and everyone. Elaine was a night owl, and would spend hours on the phone talking to family and friends. Her last spoken words were, “I love you”. Elaine also had a lifelong love for her hometown of Hico, Texas. Elaine went to school in Bonham, Texas and Duncanville, Texas. She worked at Bright Excavation, INC. in Forney, TX with her family and friends.

Preceding Elaine are husband Bobby Lee Hamm, son TJ Hamm, Loretta Marie Bright, Clayton Dwaine Bright. Also preceding Elaine are Ola McKandless, B.D. McKandless, Clarence Eursey Bright and Mossey Bright.

Surviving Elaine are her father Clarence Oran Bright and friend Ann Higginbotham; children, Gregory Dale Robinson, Misty Elaine Robinson, and stepdaughters Stacey Molock and husband Joe, and Katy Johnson; grandchildren, Gregory Dale Robinson, Jr., Ty Dale Robinson, Lauren Taylor Robinson, DaleN Tess Marie Robinson, Carolyne Nicole Robinson, Jacob Riley Gooch, Joshua Tanner Gooch, Rylie Ann Hamm, Kaylon Marie Hamm, Rhett Newton, Blain Johnson, and Drew Johnson.

Also surviving Elaine are her brother Clarence Dwaine Bright and wife Cathy; aunt Lennie Gillentine; cousins Becky True and husband Mike, Suzie Bright, Jesse Wachel, Jr., Linda Gillentine, Mike Gillentine and George Gillentine, as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Service Information

Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, in the Harvest Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Neil Wade officiating. Burial to follow in the Hico Cemetery.
