Willie Rose “Billie” Strnad Spindor was born April 4, 1930, in Bell County Texas and passed away November 13, 2022, in Stephenville, Texas. Billie was 92 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Strnad, and Rosie Jez Strnad, her sister, Anna Brown, and her two brothers, Leonard, and Edward Hurta. She was married for 49 years to her husband, Caso Spindor, who also preceded her in death. She lived in Fort Worth, Texas for many years and assisted Caso with their business. Upon retirement, they moved to the family farm in Morgan Mill, Texas and after her husband’s death, she lived her final years in Stephenville, Texas.

Billie is survived by her five children, David Spindor and wife Jan, Calvin Spindor and wife Susan, Gary Spindor and wife Judy, Karen Spindor Mazzei and husband Steve, and Carol Spindor Howard and husband Tom. Billie is also survived by her grandchildren, Don Vess and wife Terry, David Vess, Allison Spindor, Brian Spindor and wife Alison, Jake Howard and wife Candace, Elise Howard Looney and husband Travis, Erin Mazzei and husband Alex, and Shannon Mazzei, along with eleven great- grandchildren and seven great-great- grandchildren. Billie loved her family, and they were her lifelong priority.

Throughout her life, Billie enjoyed a variety of crafts from quilting to knitting, which she loved to gift to others and her kolaches, pies and pierogi were always the favorites of family and friends. Spending time in her garden and with her plants brought her immense joy. Her love of travel was inherited by each of her children. Her kindness to all was unmatched, and she was beloved by so many…as a mother, as a grandma, as an aunt, as a cousin, and as a friend.

The family will have visitation on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 5 to 7 pm at the Stephenville Funeral Home. The funeral will take place on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Stephenville Funeral Home with the interment held afterward at the Morgan Mill Cemetery. Her grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers.
