Vivian Genece Moore, 71, of Stephenville, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, in Stephenville.

Vivian had a smile that could light up the world. She made friends wherever she went. We would go to a drive through to get a drink, and she would tell me everything about the person waiting on us. She was big-hearted and loved her friends and family. She was independent and had an adventurous nature, often taking off on a whim to drive to Fort Worth or Weatherford. She was always on the lookout for a unique gift that she could present to one of her friends. If you said she shouldn’t have bought it, she would say it was on sale or that she bought three of them from QVC when they had a special, like it was no big deal. The gift was always something useful that was appreciated.

Vivian G had the biggest heart and was the most caring person. If you were talking to her on the phone, and she sensed that you were the slightest bit down, she was determined to stay on the phone and laugh with you until you felt better. So many times, it was so subtle, you didn’t realize it until later. She was an ultimate caregiver, quitting her job when her sister, Sharon, was diagnosed with cancer, and caring for her until she passed away. She continued to take care of her aging mother until she passed away at the age of 96. She would go and pick up whatever her mother wanted, even when it was difficult. When Vivian G was working, she still gave her mother the same level of care, and she would go to great lengths to acquire anything for her mother.

She had many dogs in her lifetime, and had such a big heart when it came to animals. Her standard poodle, Leo, would not let her out of his sight. If anyone got in his line of vision between them, he would fight to keep her in view. Her latest love was a French Bulldog name Rue.

The world will miss her kindness and generosity, and her friends are missing her big-time.

At this time, memorial services for Vivian have not been scheduled.

The family of Vivian wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donation to the Erath County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2006, Stephenville, TX  76401
