He loved to work with his hands and was always ready to solve mechanical problems at work or at home. Jesse believed in living in the moment and the importance of family and friends.

Jesse was also an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to camp and spend time with friends and family. He treasured the regular trips he took with his family to Proctor Lake in the summer.

Jesse is known to many in the community for his service as a member of the Dublin Volunteer Fire Department and an officer in the American Legion Post 219, where he was Commander.

Through his service in the American Legion, he helped unveil additions to the Veterans Memorial wall by the Dublin Public Library, helped preside over Veterans Day and Memorial Day ceremonies and donated time to projects like refurbishing the flagpole at the old Dublin Cemetery.
