She was born on November 10, 1935, to her mother Ruby Lee Essary and father William Andrew Essary in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Riverside High School in Fort Worth, Texas, married William Francis (Bill) Morrow, Jr. on March 19, 1955, and is survived by four children: Judith Lynn Morrow Schultz, Donna Sue Dial, Richard Alan Morrow, and William Francis (Billy) Morrow III, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Having many interests, Billie June in early years was a housewife, mother, seamstress, and amazing cook. Then as her children grew older, she was a Girl Scout leader and also the cafeteria manager at Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas. She wanted a job where she would be home when her children were home from school. Over the years they went on numerous vacations and camping trips with the children. After retiring, Bill and June bought 52 acres outside of Hico where they hosted many family gatherings. Having an entrepreneurial nature, she then started her own business called June’s Alterations in Hico, Texas. Bill helped some when he wasn’t out golfing. 😀
Billie June loved her family and many friends and was known to be a favorite at the Lone Star Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. She was a very giving person. She loved crochet, playing bingo, reading novels, watching car racing and wrestling, and hearing REALLY GOOD GOSSIP. She binged movies and shows on Netflix, FaceTimed on the phone with family, played games on her computer, and doordashed often. She made the BEST bread pudding in the world. She is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
Billie June’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Harvest Hills Funeral Home, Hico, Texas. Visitation is from 12-2pm. Chapel Service is at 2pm. All are welcome.
