The Stephenville HS Yellow Jackets (18-9-1) are one step closer to an Area title after winning Game 1 over the Krum Bobcats (18-17) Thursday evening in Weatherford, 3-1.
The Jackets are in the Area matchup after beating the Levelland Lobos (9-12) in two games. The Bobcats were able to upset Sanger (21-15) in three games to make it this far. Stephenville came out of District 6-4A in first place and is on an 11-game winning streak going back into the regular season.
Now, the Jackets and Bobcats will face each other in Game 2 Friday evening, again in Weatherford. But there has been a time change due to possible inclement weather. Instead of playing at 6:30 p.m., the game has been moved to 4 p.m. at Weatherford High School’s baseball field located at 2121 Bethel Road, Weatherford, TX, 76087. Tickets will be sold at the gate and will be $7 for adults and $5 for students.
Game 3 will be played on Saturday afternoon in Weatherford, if necessary.
