Linda Posey Giles, 81, of Stephenville, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
Graveside services for Linda will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 19th at West End Cemetery, with Rodney Payne officiating. Visitation with the Giles family will begin at 9:00-9:45 AM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Linda was born on November 13, 1941, in Brookhaven, Mississippi to the late Melton and Ida Posey. Linda married coach Ronnie Giles on August 22, 1958 in Snyder, Texas. Ronnie preceded her in death on January 17, 2018, they were married just under 60 years. Linda loved being with her family and friends. She was known as ‘Grammie’ to her two granddaughters. She was a selfless person, who would do anything to help anyone, which was shown through her love of cooking. Linda was a member of the Harvey Baptist Church. She and Ronnie lived several years in Snyder, Abilene, and Alpine, then moved to Stephenville in 1973. She spent most of her life in the banking business.
Linda is survived by her son, Kent; granddaughters, Brittany and Haley; and her son-in-law; Joseph Dillingham; and several cousins.
Besides her parents, and husband, Ronnie; Linda was also preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Giles Dillingham on February 1, 2023; and by a brother, Bob Posey.
