(April 8, 1937 – August 12, 2023)

Barbara Joyce Miller was born on April 8, 1937, in Breckenridge, Texas. She married the love of her life, Harold Miller, on June 14, 1953 when she was 16. She continued school and graduated from Odessa High School in 1955. Afterward, she traveled the country with Harold while he was enlisted in the U.S. Army.

After Harold was honorably discharged and resumed his job in the oil field, she began working as a secretary in the probation office in Fort Stockton. Barbara was also a pianist and sang in several small groups and church choirs.

When they retired, Barbara and Harold built their dream home in Junction, on a cliffside overlooking the Llano River. They lived there for 20 years. In the early 2000s, they moved to Edna Hill where they made their new home next to her grandmother’s homeplace. She enjoyed country living, bird watching, and seeing the wildflowers and her roses in bloom.

Barbara went to be with her Lord on August 12, 2023, with Harold by her side. She is survived by her husband, Harold Miller (Edna Hill); a sister, Sue Bright (Cypress, Texas); her son, Milton Miller (Midland, Texas); her daughter, Kelly Storey (Dublin, Texas); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

Services will be held Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Edna Hill Baptist church at 10:00 am.

Interment to follow at Barbee Cemetery.
