The Stephenville FAITH Lady Knights volleyball teams (JH, JV and Varsity) hosted the Johnson County Sports Association Lady Lions on Monday, August 21, for a TAIAO Division 1 matchup.
With JCSA (0-1, 0-1) being a long-time rival of Stephenville Faith (3-2, 1-0), the action was set to be exciting, and it was. The varsity game was very intense, with set one going to JCSA, 25-19, set two going to FAITH, 25-10, set three going to FAITH in a nail-bitter, 25-23, and set four going to JCSA, 25-21. It lined out to be an exciting battle that resulted in Stephenville FAITH getting the win in the fifth and final set, 15-7.
The Division 1 win places FAITH in third in division play and the Lady Lions in fifth.
The Lady Knights were on the road Wednesday, August 23, in Weatherford to face Victory Baptist Academy. FAITH managed a sweep of the Lady Patriots, 25-20, 25-20, 25-13.
The Lady Knights’ next home game will be Thursday, August 31, against two opponents, Mineral Wells CCS and Cleburne Christian. Come support your Lady Knights in an exciting doubleheader.
