Have you dreamed of being royalty? Now is your chance!

The Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA rodeo is right around the corner, and on Saturday, September 23, the rodeo committee will be crowning its very own Rodeo Queens. There are three different age groups, the Princess division (ages 6-12), the Teen division (ages 13-18) and the Miss division, (ages 19-24).

The horsemanship portion of the competition will take place on the evening of Friday, September 15, at Park Your Pony (on US 67, north of Stephenville), and the remaining categories of the competition will be on Saturday, September 16, at the Cowboy Church of Erath County (also located on US 67, north of town).

Let’s hear from one of the Rodeo Queen committee members, and former Miss Rodeo Illinois, Carly Elford about this incredible opportunity:

“Mark your calendars for September 15th and 16th, as this thrilling pageant showcases the finest qualities of cowgirls from around the great state of Texas!

The competition promises an array of captivating categories that exemplify the true nature of a rodeo queen. Participants will display their equestrian prowess in horsemanship, radiate charm through their personality and appearance, and articulate their thoughts eloquently in speech and impromptu segments. With the spotlight on their abilities to engage, inspire, and think on their feet, contenders will also be tested through two comprehensive interviews!

Beyond the glittering tiaras and sashes, the Rodeo Queen Competition holds the key to a world of opportunities and personal growth. As a past Miss Rodeo Illinois in 2008, I know firsthand the transformative power of this journey. Rodeo queens are not only ambassadors of the sport but also embodiments of grace, strength, and professionalism. This unique experience cultivates character, allowing contestants to present themselves with poise and confidence, instilling valuable life skills that transcend the competition arena.”

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of a legacy that embraces tradition, empowerment, and the spirit of the Wild West. Your destiny as a rodeo queen awaits!
