Stephenville – Services for Virgil “Alan” Dalley, 59, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Erath County Cowboy Church with Werth Mayes officiating.
Alan was born in Harlingen, Texas on July 21, 1964 to Virgil Dalley and Delores Jean Sanders Dalley. He married Angela Kaye Humphries on August 23, 1986, in San Antonio, Texas.
Alan spent his life in service of others. He served his community as a police officer for both the city of Stephenville and the Tarleton State University campus. He also served his country in three different military branches, the United States Marine Corps, the United States Army, and the United States Navy. Alan was a veteran of Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a member of the Cowboy Church of Erath County.
Alan is survived by his wife, Angela Dalley of Stephenville, Texas; parents, Virgil and Jeannie Dalley of San Antonio, Texas; children, Justin Dalley and Amanda Dalley, both of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Libberti Jones, London Collins, Jaxon Collins, and their mother, Ruby Phillips and her husband Trey of Stephenville, Texas; brother; Jeff Dalley and wife, Lisa of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Elizabeth De La Cruz and husband, Jamie of Ohio; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Alan was preceded in death by his brother, Dan Dalley.
