Services for Jerry Warren, 89, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2023, at Cottonwood Church in Dublin, Texas, with Rev. Mike Fritscher officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at the Warren Family Cemetery in Comanche County. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Jerry was born in Matador, Texas, on March 29, 1934, to parents Colquet Warren and Ina Williams. He married Cheryl Kaye Britton on December 21, 1988, in San Antonio, Texas.
Jerry was a member of Cottonwood Church in Dublin. He was a managing shareholder for Lawyers Abstract & Title and was also a longtime member of the Stephenville Optimist Club. He served Stephenville as a member of the planning and zoning commission and the city council. Jerry loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, and all animals. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl of Stephenville; children, Sueann Porter of Granbury; Phillip Warren & wife, Cynthia of Stephenville; Keith Isom and wife, Shawnee of Castelrock, CO.; Kaycie Mensing and husband, Jon of Frisco; Kristin Spears of Waco; grandchildren, Jarrid Porter; Mavis Warren; Chase Paul; Claire Paul; and Corbin Campbell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Warren; and sisters, Jean Lyles; Jane Latimer; and Jo Edwards.
