Mary Worthington, 87, a school teacher, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 10 A.M. with the interment of cremains at West End Cemetery.
Mary was born in Weslaco, Texas, on January 4, 1937, to M.L. Dew Jr. and Robby Payne Dew. She married Josiah Worthington, Jr. on December 27, 1957, in Brownsville, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2021.
She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ.) Among her favorite things, she enjoyed antiques.
Survivors include her children, Carl Worthington and wife, Julie, of Stephenville, Texas, and Sarah Catherine Worthington of Stephenville, Texas; granddaughter, Lorin Taylor Worthington Kline and husband, Dustin of Bynum, Texas; sisters, Dana Stewart of Kerrville, Texas; Jan Cook of Kerrville, Texas, and Susan Hale of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
